Burp
First day at HQ is over. I'm posted to Infocomm Service Unit.... which sucks. I've always had this image drawn in my head: me, doing website stuff on the computer, in my own cubicle, drinking coffee during breaks from the pantry, and then working on my comics or reading a book when there's free time. However, turns out, Infocomm Service Unit, ISU, will go outside and do field work. They'll be doing radar connections, telephone tapping, lining and God knows what else.
Here's the thing: I'm lazy.
Or at least, I'm starting to get into my lazy mode again. So, that's why, being unhappy with the post, I jumped at the first opportunity when they asked for a volunteer to be a comms store man. I said I wanted the job. It's not confirmed, but it's the next best thing... the closest to my 'vision' of HQ life.
Life in HQ.... seems not bad. When I got to CDA after BRT, I was like, woah... new buildings... bearable toilets... WOW... Tiled walls... painted stairways... air-coned rooms... WOW
Then when I stepped into HQ... I went, WOW! Polite Provost.. yeah, wtf! Lavish lobby... Elevators... Cafeteria.... 1 and a half hour lunchtime... Civilians working alongside us... office lifestyle... Yeah. I like it here.
Oh, yeah, the title. Burp. Ate too much... as usual. Damn. I'm really gonna put on weight. Will do something about this. Must budget. Will be riding there tomorrow.
One cool thing is that, since I know some of the older... i mean senior guys there, at least I'm able to see the bigger picture there... Some sort...
Got my Number 3 uniform today. Cool. No more bloody boots, folding of smart four, answering why my uniform is of different colour... Finally huh...
Ok, tt's it for now.
