the burden
the bike's beginning to be a burden. I wanna get rid of it. I want to get rid of it from my head, and from my accounts, and from the carpark slot under my block. Let it be sold. Whether it's cheap or not, I do not care. I actually set off just now to go to the shop and pay for the insurance and other stuff. But as soon as I got to the bike, it couldn't start. I sweated in the hot sun, tryin to start the bike. After a while I gave up. And I abandoned the plan to continue with the bike.
Very sorry to Fiz Punk for being unable to cover your duty today. I really had to settle the bike. Had I known that I would decide to put it off, I would have gone down to work. Hope everythin' is ok with your brother.
Later on in the dreadful afternoon, Wak Slamet came over to pass the wedding photos and slack at Suadref Studios. But before that, I watched Finding Forrester, again. I like that movie. It's about how the legend helps the young talent in writing. It's very inspiring. I like inspiring movies.
The quote I like best was:
William Forrester: What are you doing?
Jamal: I'm thinkin of what to write...
William Forrester: You write with your heart... You re-write with your brain.
later... Jamal started typin' slowly.
William Forrester: PUNCH THOSE KEYS!
Jamal slowly build up pace and started typing furiously.
William Forrester: Yes! You the man now, dawg.
It's inspiring.
Tomorrow, I'm gonna go to the doc to check the leg, and to ask for extension. Then, I'm gonna go back and really work on the videos. I've been putting them off too long.
Now for a short story before I stop writing and go down to meet Wak Slamet n Wan Giggs.
The Storemen
When I joined them, the four storemen were the most senior in age among the unit. Things were done with much commitment and without pushing the duties aside. But now, two of the storemen had ORD'd. A new one was found. He was young, way younger than we had ever been. It had originally been the 27 year old, two 22 year olds and the 23 year old guys as the storemen. But the new one is only 17. It will be different. Childishly different.
