Woohoo happy!

Good things are happening, a sweet end to a week full of heavy workload...

How ironic can things get... I was in a fix a few weeks ago, where I got kicked out of RSM parade (which is really short and fuss free compared to the normal parade)... and now, I got to be IC! Coz' come August, I'm going up a notch, and thus can be selected for IC. So now... I can stop worrying about extending my excuse! I'm permanently inside! and... best of all, I need only come down for my duty days... and the rest of the week I can come to work happily without going parade!

Sweet.

And... a few more stuff that's making me really really happy! It's sunny and bright, this time of the year... It's a good season, I guess... But who knows a storm is brewing over the horizon.

Musn't lose my footing.

We went down to the new BRTC on Wednesday for audio support for CD Day parade. The new sound system rocks, and I think it's damn sufficient. But Senna Pandi wants to use the old system! Arhh!!! I hate the old system. It's... old. And it's super customised so I have no idea how to work them connections. And all the wires are not production standard, which means they get faulty most of the time.

Then I thought, while on the truck, how long I've been here. You see, when I came into HQ Comms Service Unit, the first field work is CD day parade. I followed the group, like one blur cock, trying to adjust myself to the CD people... how they can have so much fun and get the work done at the same time. But as the year goes by, one by one, the guys ORDed. So now, I'm on the truck, with half the group experiencing their first external support. Sigh.. somehow, I think this group is just not as fun as the group went with last year.

When we reached the BRTC, which is spankin brand new, and has no nostalgic feeling to it whatsoever... we deployed our stuff, and played around with the sound. Aiya.. I don't even find it so cool anymore.. Gettin sian of it already. But really, I don't mind going into this field of work. Met the FOO boy, who's now freakin' skinny and still so kilat. Instructor mah. All the faces have changed. 3/4 of the people there are gone. Those still there are just serving their last few weeks before disappearing. And me? At least 9 months... If I was pregnant, I'd have a baby by then. Wait, that analogy sucks.

Oh the other good news... NDP deployment is a go! And I got NDP passes! Just me n' the ORD personnel. Damn! It's my first time going to NDP live. So please understand my excitement.
